#GGJ2024 Stadtbibliothek Stuttgart

Stadtbibliothek am Mailänder Platz 1
    • Hello everyone, we are finally back on site!
It's our 10th on-site game jam after 3 years online only.
Chasing Carrots, Creatale and the Stadtbibliothek Stuttgart are happy to have you!

How can I register for participation?
You have to register on this site AND on our Stuttgart Game Dev Meetup site where you also pay the admission fee. You can only participate if you are registered at BOTH websites.

Is there a limited number of jammers?
Yes, up to 70 people can participate.

      When does the jam begin/end?
Check-in starts at 16:30. Official kick-off with keynote is 17:00. The jam ends on Sunday around 17:00.

      What should you bring?
Please bring any hardware (Laptop) and tools (including Lan Cable) you are going to use, and make sure you install big software packages before the event. Also, a toothbrush and sleeping bag might be a good idea, in case you want to stay overnight.
We have routing and W-Lan on site, internet is stable and fast but there can be limitations if all participants try to download and upload at the same time.

      Can I sleep on site?
Yes, the location will be open all day and night. We have a smaller separated sleeping area. You will need to bring a sleeping bag.

      Why the admission fee?
We organize the GGJ in our spare time and we want to provide the best experience possible. We hope the small fee is an affordable way to support us.

      How can jammers communicate online?
For exchange before and during the jam, we have a Discord you can join.

      What about safety and inclusion?
The site is safe for everyone. If there is anything bothering you you can come to us and we'll take care about that. On site you'll get contact to people that can be contacted 24/7 and in the nights we have security on-site.
We are Queer- and Neurodivergent friendly (we are even part of the organization team!).

      Will this jam be documented?
Yes. We would like to point out that filming and photography will take place during the event. With your participation, you agree that photos and films on which you are depicted can be published.

I don't speak German. Can I still come?
Of course. Everyone is welcome! That's why the information here is in English.
Please be aware that most of our (spoken) announcements will be in German, but you come to ask and we'll assist you in case you have issues in understanding.

Can I stop by and watch?
There will be a guided tour for non-participants on Saturday starting at 18:00. For press coverage please contact [email protected].
We are also streaming the event online on https://www.twitch.tv/chasingcarrots

I can't be on site, can I participate online?
We are an on-site event only. While you don't need to be on.site all the time. Critical events will only be happening there, like team finding and presentations.
