Collaboration with PitStop Productions

Submitted by TomBattey on

Hi folks,

I am excited to announce a collaboration this year with PitStop Productions. PitStop are a games audio company local to Sheffield with a ton of experience doing sound work for AAA games - they've recently worked on Baldur's Gate 3, the Horzon series, and Returnal. You can check them out here: https://pitstopproductions.co.uk

    • We're a university site with dedicated game development facilities. As well as our own students, we're open to everyone from professional developers to complete newcomers. We encourage people to work in teams with different backgrounds, disciplines and experience levels so everyone can get the most out of the weekend. Join us for a chill couple of days making games!

The University will be open for the duration of the jam, and our city-centre location puts you right near a range of transport links. Pizza will be provided on opening night, and there are a range of local eateries nearby.

If you'd like to take part but can't make it in person on the weekend, then you're welcome to join in remotely as well. We'll be using Discord to manage teams both on-site and remotely, so there's space to be flexible. Let us know how you'd prefer to work and we'll do our best to accomodate.

Please note that while we aim to have development PCs available for all participants, we can't guarantee access for attendees from outside the University. If you can bring a laptop to develop on, then please do.

While the main event will be taking place on-site at the University, we are also able to support online participation for those that can't make it in person but would still like to take part. Details will be provided via Discord nearer the Jam start time.

The event will start at 17:30 on the Friday night with an introductory talk, pizza, team building and concept development. The event will then run through to game submission at 16:30 on the Sunday, with a closing event, demos of the games, and (optional) drinks after.
