Get Prepped for the GGJ 2024
Hello DTJ Members!
With the GGJ 2024 approaching, it’s good to get prepped ahead of time by joining the DTJ discord server and forming teams, or participating in discussions with other DTJ jammers - https://discord.gg/zBBrDC6d
Things to remember:
- The Jam starts at 5pm on Friday the 26th of Jan
- The Jam finishes at 5pm on Sunday the 28th of Jan
- The DTJ site is run entirely through discord, and does not have a physical jamming location.
- You will have to create a page for your submission on the GGJ website to upload it. We recommend doing this on the Saturday so your page is all set up for the Sunday submission.
- We recommend uploading your game to the GGJ website before the 5pm cut off time, as the website is known to crash due to the high volume of submissions. A good time to submit is about 3pm on Sunday.
- Avoid Burnout. The jam is only 48 hours long, and in that time you’re probably not going to be able to create the next Metal Gear Solid. So pace yourselves and come up with a reasonable scope for your submission. If you don’t make the submission time, no worries! You’ve still participated in the GGJ and have flexed your creative skills. The most important thing is to enjoy the jam!
- Most importantly remember to HAVE FUN! The GGJ is all about being creative and challenging yourself, but remember to look after yourself and take regular breaks, sleep well, eat well, and try to get outside over the weekend.
