The jam is over! We had 16 GAMES submitted during the jam with roughly 60~ active developers.

 

For some of you, this was your first Game Jam experience! I imagine you have learned new practices, met new people and created something to show off. Releasing a game is no easy feat; it's a miracle that games are shipped! and you have now created one within 48 hours! Give yourself a pat on the back, and take some time to rest. 

 

I want to say a big thank you to our sponsors @ AD GAMING, NVIDIA STUDIOS & ZEMPIE, this event would not be the same without you!

 

and a big thank you to you, the people! thank you for participating and growing the game development community. This was a memorable experience for everyone involved and we are very excited about GGJ2025.

Hello all, hope you are enjoying the jam and can't wait to hear people laughing while playtesting your games.

That said I just want to remind everyone to create a page for the game, and add the team members to it.

Also, if you enjoyed the food, make sure to give good feedback to the awesome guys at  Royal Keita Catering for the awesome meals they provided.

also remember that all games should be done by 6:00 PM and don't forget to make a really short gameplay video of your game( nothing fancy but if you want to be fancy go ahead)

Hello Everyone,

This post is Just an update about the bus that will transport you from Dubai to Abu Dhabi if you register through the link shared in the previous update, for Friday the Bus will move around 4:00 PM from the front of SAE Institute Dubai ( Block 16 - Knowledge village).

The bus will move at exactly 4:00 PM on Firday  so make sure you are there earlier and if you feel lost or came way early feel free to path by SAE institute in the same building 2nd floor and they will guide you towards the bus.

We have been working in the background setting up the event and getting it ready for everyone. After some discussions, AD Gaming has offered to sponsor the event! 

 

 

What does this mean for the jam?

 

 

The venue will be moved to YAS CREATIVE HUB, in Abu Dhabi rather than the SAE INSTITUTE CAMPUS, in Dubai. We hosted the Global Game Jam at the same venue last year, it's a great location! You'll be surrounded by game studios at the heart of the game development industry in the UAE. 

 

 

If you are an SAE Student, then we will be offering busses from the SAE CAMPUS to YAS CREATIVE HUB.
