About
A team-based card game where you try to make the other team burst out in laughter by doing improv skits.
Skit Bursts RULES
Players: 2 – 10
Cards: 46 Bonus Point Sliders: 2 Humerus Bone: 1 The Vault of Jokes (Box Container): 1 Paper Writing Utensil
OBJECTIVE Teams take turns choosing from a set of four prompts to act out in order to make the other team laugh. Successfully making the other team laugh earns you burst points which can be used to either defend or attack. The team that reaches 0 hp bursts into complete laughter and loses the game. The winning team obtains the funny bone as a trophy.
SETUP Form two teams, then draw 4 cards for each team. The first team is decided based on a one on one face off staring contest where laughing also counts as a loss. Winner decides if their team attacks or defends first. Each team starts with 50 HP and 5 bonus points. Team HP is tracked with paper and a writing utensil.
SKIT RULES - Choose up to 3 team members for the skit to represent your team
- If teams are larger than 3 then prioritize new members to participate in the skit
- 20 seconds base per skit (+5 seconds for smaller team if teams are uneven)
- You can use 1 bonus point to add an additional 20 seconds to skit time
TURN ORDER 1. Discard: Can decide to get rid of a singular card in the team hand to draw one card. 2. Attack/Defense: Attacking team can allocate available burst points into an attack. The defending team can allocate burst points into defense. Both teams announce their allocated points at the same time. 3. Improv Skit: The attacking team chooses between one or two prompts from their team hand. Additionally, a singular bonus card can be used in combination with the prompts. 4. Redraw: Collect back to four cards in the team hand. 5. End of Turn
WHAT COUNTS AS “LAUGH” - Corners of mouth to eyes - Visible recoil - Chuckles - Attempts to hide laughter after the first offense leads to 1 bonus point reduction.
