The Global Game Jam is a nonprofit organization with a mission to empower all individuals worldwide to learn, experiment, and create together through the medium of games in a safe and welcoming environment.
We promote collaboration, creativity, and people in game development through game jams, focusing on our annual global game jam. In particular, we wish to celebrate and bring together the game development community as it exists all around the world, and all of the creativity, passion and energy that goes into making games.
We hope to inspire developers, create opportunities for innovation, experimentation, and education, and raise awareness about the process of developing games.
Our organization directly serves nearly 40,000 game creators every year in over 100 countries - and holds only 3 paid staff. We rely mainly on the hard work and passion of volunteers from around the world, as well as the generosity of sponsors and individual donors like you.
