Heartbeat-Em-Up is the story of one Hero Heart, walking the street, laying down the beat, knocking enemies off of their feet… until your mission is complete.
As you fight through your enemies, you might find powerups to help you on this epic quest. You can then fight with the Sole of a Hero, attack with Heart Beets, or even transform into the Heart Throb! You will need those powerups to defeat the various villains that have viscous visions of vivisection!
A rudimentary exploration of medical management app gamification. In this case, we took an app idea - an education app on diabetes for people looking to support those handling the disease - and built game elements into it. The goal is to provide both an immediate and sustained look into issues facing those suffering from diabetes. The elements that we have built are part of a framework a greater whole, including a companion app meant to be used by the diabetes patient.
Goomba Lab is a puzzle game intended to teach scientific inquiry skills and critical thinking to middle school students (age 11-14). Goombas are creatures with behavioral traits that players must be able to identify through experimentation. Players are provided with a notepad to record their observations about Goomba interactions with game objects, and can place the objects to guide their goombas through levels of complex puzzles.
