GLOBAL GAME JAM AND GAMES FOR CHANGE PARTNER FOR UKRAINIAN SERIOUS GAMES WORKSHOP & JAM
The Global Game Jam and Games For Change recently partnered to create and run a Serious Games Workshop and Game Jam for the Ukrainan game developer community as part of a grant from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. The Games For Change workshop portion featured best practices and design guidelines for creating games with a purpose beyond entertainment (social change, political awareness, environmental issues), etc., and the game jam run by GGJ gave participants the chance to put those new skills to the test.
