Endless + GGJ Microgrant Program First Round Closed!

Last month The Global Game Jam® announced partnering with Endless to create a microgrant program for game creators in our community who wish to further develop their games that are focused on the purpose of education and/or incorporates learning themes.

In its first round, the grant program received 21 submissions worldwide from applicants who have participated in a Global Game Jam event in the past. We are happy to see the vast variety of educational game pitches - science, math, psychology, environmental awareness - and clever usage of game mechanics that support learning. The first round of reviews is now completed and those who got selected to receive the microgrant this round will be contacted shortly with further details.

Remember that if you didn’t receive the grant this time, you can always polish your pitch and apply again! Maybe add some depth to your business plan, reflect on and explain the educational aspect in more detail, and add a game play video or a trailer along social media or/and website links. The more information the jury has, the easier it is to determine the eligibility for grant.

If you would like to get brief feedback on your application, you can contact Tarja, GGJ Director of Communications.
