It is also boasts one of the UK’s top rated games courses based on student satisfaction (National Student Survey). We have an excellent track record for graduate employment with many of our students going on to work at the UKs most recognisable game studios such as Ubisoft, Rockstar, Travellers’ Tales and Rebellion. Our unique Business Accelerator empowers students to form start-up games studios supported by our specialist incubation centre. We work in partnership with organisations such as Games Talent Wales, BAFTA Cymru and the British Computing Society. WGU is also an official Tranzfuser Regional Hub supported by UK Games Fund.
Games Talent Wales
Games Talent Wales is a grassroots talent development program for the games developers, focused on university alumni and final year students. Annually, the programme supports eight companies made up of students from the two lead supporting universities, all of which launch their games at the EGX Games Talent Wales exhibition. Participating companies receive business support, grand funding, incubation space, and mentoring from top Welsh game studios as well as individual industry mentors. Games Talent Wales is backed by the UK Games Funds Tranzfuser and funded by the Welsh Government.
