Come join us for some aloha-filled game jamming! This jam is open to everyone (16+) regardless of skill level and location. Our jam is a collaboration and not a competition. We're here to have fun, make friends, level up our skills, and maybe even make some games.
We'll be using our online Discord server to run live events and meet with other jammers. In addition, participants will optionally be able to host and share their own unofficial in-person mini-sites to allow for a more interesting, organic, and grassroots game jam experience.
E.g. Do you have a portable power source and want to host a little mini-site at the beach/park for a few hours? Do you have a yard/garage and a big table? Do you want to meet up with other jammers for a few hours at a cafe or a classroom? Unofficial in-person mini-site hosts will be able to post your mini-site, times, who to contact, and size limits.
All participants, and unofficial mini-sites must abide by the GGJ Inclusiveness Policy and Code of Conduct.
We'll be starting on Friday February 3rd, 2023, 5:00pm Hawaiian Time (UTC-10), but participants are welcome to start earlier if they wish. The Global Game Jam 2023 theme will be announced globally on January 28th at 7:00am Hawaiian Time on Twitch and Youtube.
