Game Plus Canberra is hosting the 2023 Global Game Jam for Canberra!
We'll be organising teams and communicating via the Game Plus Discord. It's members-only, but by joining the Global Game Jam you get a free flexible membership to Game Plus for all of February, so you can access the Discord, the space, and other events through the month.
New members who are attending the Global Game Jam in person MUST be present at the Friday afternoon briefing session to get a safety rundown and site tour of the physical space. If you're only participating online, you won't need to be there for the site tour. If you're already a member, you know the drill, so you're all good!
Here's the planned schedule at the moment:
Friday, Feb 3rd, 4pm - arrive at Game Plus to set up your gear
Friday, Feb 3rd, 5pm - site tour, ground rules and team formation
Friday, Feb 3rd, 6pm - opening keynote and GGJ kickoff
Saturday, Feb 4th, throughout the day - jamming
Sunday, Feb 5th - throughout the day - jamming
Sunday, Feb 5th , 5pm - finish and upload your projects
Sunday, Feb 5, 6pm - lightning round showcase of projects
Sunday, Feb 5, 7pm - end of game jam, well done, get some rest
