Industrial Roots

The year was 1978. Rail workers were in urgent need of more efficient fuel for their trains, so they came up with Root Plasma, a mix of root samples from trees infused with enriched uranium. The mix was extremely unstable and had to be handled with caution, but the train sheds in the SSSR were outdated and rusty. One day, while working on a locomotive, a crane broke, causing the locomotive to fall to the ground and spill its fuel, which consisted of Root Plasma. The workers tried to contain the spill, but it spread faster than they could clean it up and seeped into the ground, infecting the roots of the nearby forest. The workers observed that the trees in the forest began to behave in strange and unusual ways, as if they had minds of their own. In the following days, more strange incidents occurred and workers started to disappear. After several accidents, the authorities decided it was best to close the site. Some of them were curious and wanted to know more about the mysterious happenings, but were too scared to go there after previous incidents. They searched for a scientist who was daring enough to go to the site and collect samples of the Root Plasma. That's when you, Vladimir Antonov, come in to help. Your task is to uncover what's happening there and collect samples of the Root Plasma for the scientists.
