Everyone is welcome; whether you are interested in tabletop games, video games, or finding a new way to bring gaming to others.
We want to develop tabletop gaming and bring it to everyone. Recent years have shown an explosion in it, and we think it's just started to be explored artistically with what it can do in people's lives.
Register by emailing [email protected] or by joining our Discord and adding the GameJammers role and saying hi in our event's general channel.
Friday at 5pm, we'll start the jam in our community Discord with a kickoff presentation. We'll allow participants to create channels they think they'll need, give them permissions to control moderation and access to their spaces, and provide spaces for collaboration and help for teams to connect with each other.
We'll end the jam at 5pm on Sunday, immediately beginning a round table for everyone to show what they want of what they've been working on for a 10 minute block. After you or your team has finished, you can have a feedback session before we move onto the next participants if you choose.
This event is hosted by the Salt City Meeples, a local collective of tabletop gamers spanning all experience levels. We'll have experts in board game development on hand to assist and teach you how to brings your ideas to a prototype using tools such as Tabletopia and Tabletop Simulator.
We'll be using Discord for the jam, with the kickoff and wrapup being shared and coordinated using voice channels on the Discord. We'll be on hand to help anyone who is new to Discord. We expect teams to collaborate non-exclusively over the Discord, but hope everyone continually shares progress during the event.
