Jam Site Description:

Hello Everyone!

New year, new you, new games! Kick off this upcoming semester by joining us January 2022 for Sheridan’s very own Global Game Jam site.

The event is open to anyone; no previous game development experience is necessary! So if you've wanted to make a game with friends from another program, classmates, or your grandma, NOW IS THE TIME! Don’t have a team ready? Don’t worry about it - we’ve scheduled time in for team building, use this opportunity to meet new friends and work with different people!

In classic online Jam style, we will be working together in a communal discord. Thou feel free to use another discord or another app for your team!

In this online space we have room for everyone, but sign up anyway to show your support for the Jam!

The jam theme for this year will be announced at 5pm on Saturday (22nd), so aim to be there a bit early. Hope to see you all there!

Cheers,

The Sheridan Game Design Society

No person may participate in a Global Game Jam event® unless they have reached 18 years of age or the age of majority (e.g. are legal adults) in the country of participation (whichever is younger). As an example, participants attending a GGJ site in Scotland or Cuba, must be 16 years of age or older to participate as that is the age of majority, while participants that join a site in the United States, New Zealand or Japan must be 18+ to attend.

The only exception to his rule, is if the minor is accompanied by a legal guardian at all times while attending the jam.

Inclusiveness Policy

The Global Game Jam® (GGJ) focuses on bringing communities together through collaboration, innovation and experimentation and our website engages that spirit. No sexism, racism, discrimination or any kind of exclusion will be tolerated in association with the GGJ and we reserve the right to refuse and/or remove content based on our principles. We encourage inclusive and welcoming environments in all our locations. We encourage a free and open activity where creativity should know no censorship and we hope all participants will exercise their creative freedoms. We take pride in our jammers and organizers, but the Global Game Jam Inc. is not liable for anyone's specific views and opinions.

This code of conduct outlines our guidelines for all those who participate in our community, as well as the consequences for unacceptable behavior. We invite all those who participate in GGJ to help us maintain these guidelines and create safe and positive experiences for everyone. If you see someone who is making an extra effort to ensure our community is welcoming, friendly, and encourages all participants to contribute to the fullest extent, please let us know through our GGJ Feedback Form!
