Hello Madison game jammers!

About

This site is virtual only. There is no physical location open to the public.

There will be a Discord server to communicate with organizers and other jam participants. After you've registered on globalgamejam.org, hit 'Contact' and provide your Discord username and number, and an organizer will give you an invite link.

Event schedule

This site will run the jam starting Friday, January 21 and ending Sunday, January 23.

Before the event:
Join the Discord server, make an account on globalgamejam.com, and introduce yourself! If you have a particular skill set, engine, or game genre you like, you can begin scouting for potential team members.

Friday:

  • 6pm Friday 1/21: keynote, theme announcement, ideation and team formation begins
  • 7-8pm Friday 1/21: wind down team formation, start jamming

Saturday:

  • 5-6pm Saturday 1/22: halfway point! If you want to, trade games with another team to playtest and give feedback

Sunday:

  • 12pm Sunday 1/23: final leg, make sure your game has all the necessary components like a menu and win/lose screen
  • 5pm Sunday 1/23: "hands-off" point, start packaging your game and uploading it to the GGJ website
  • 6pm Sunday 1/23: jam end, 5-minute demos

Please reach out to an organizer with any questions or concerns! We've limited the capacity to 30 participants to make communication and team formation easier, but we may be able to squeeze you in if we reach that limit.

I wasn't able to finish this game before the time limit. I, however, still wanted to share what I completed to show off to others.
It's a well-known fact in bird law that no three birds can sit in a single line (killing two birds with one stone is all well and good, but three is just ridiculous).
