That Party you missed

"That party you missed" is a very experimental visual novel game that comes very close to the language of an audiovisual documentary. With a narrative mostly of linear choices, the "game", if we can call it that, does not have well-defined characters. It is a game of affections between narrator and player. As an author, I wanted to explore the language of visual novels to produce a narrative work that converses with my artistic experiments in collage. I believe that collage, as an expression, goes beyond cutting out on paper and can be present in different media. It is a very confessional, autobiographical narrative based on small recordings of festive places I have been to before the pandemic. The theme of the game jam is worked as an almost anthropological experience about the loss of certainty of a future during the pandemic, and seeks in the memory of external activities that the player finds a sense and takes it with himself, if he finds it.
