Getting Back to You

Humans are an inherently social species. We need and crave each other’s presence, attention and affection. We are lost without each other. For each of us, someone else in our life holds something that makes us feel found, makes us feel whole. A parent, a child, a lover, a friend. How have we dealt with our relationships in the past year? If you can’t be near someone you love physically, if you can’t touch them but you can see them and hear them, how does this affect you? How do we reach the ones we love? Getting Back to You is a short journey through a painterly forest. GBtY was created with Unity for the Oculus Quest and Quest II. The player navigates through a pointillistic forest only glimpsing their lover off in the distance, they walk forward trying to reach the lover only for the mirage to dissolve instead into a memento from their relationship. Continue along the path through the forest, with your lost mementos to guide you..will you find your way to the lover’s embrace at the end of the path?
