A one-screen, pirate, platformer. My 4 year old son, who was roleplaying "Ash Catchem" during the brainstorming session came up with the concept.
"How about you're a pirate, that's lost his parrot. You have a boat and there's holes in the boat where sharks try and bite you. You you have to press A to jump over them."
In the end, we built a platformer in Game Maker 2. There's a water pit, and a zombie, and you have to get to the treasure chest to free your parrot.
Any key to start. Arrow keys to move left and right. Space bar to jump. "r" resets the game.
