You're invited to a fun-filled weekend of game makin' at GLITCH's sixth annual, locally hosted site for the 48-hour Global Game Jam.
Friday’s opening ceremony will include light snacks and team building activities. There will also be complimentary tea and coffee flowing all weekend!

The Play Party event where we all get together to play games made during the jam, will be announced on Friday at the opening ceremony.
Please don't forget to register at the official Global Game Jam website! Each year, we list the jam site under the name "Global Game Jam 2020 | GLITCH" so that you can find it easily through their search function. This is where you will be submitting your final build on Sunday evening!

What's a game jam?
A game jam is a hackathon for video games. It is a gathering of people for the purpose of planning, designing, and creating one or more games within a short span of time, usually ranging between 24 and 72 hours, and some even longer.
Who attends game jams?
Participants are generally made up of game designers, artists, programmers, writers, producers, audio designers, researchers, and many others types of creative tinkerers. All skill levels are welcomed and encouraged to participate.
What kind of games are made at game jams?
All kinds! We see digital, VR, AR, tabletop, pervasive, and many more types of games that are made each year.
Do you have to be at the game jam all 48-hours?
Absolutely not! In fact, we encourage you to go home to get some needed R&R and take lots of breaks. Please note that there are no sleeping stations available this year.
What should I bring to the game jam?
Computers, tablets, recording equipment, prototyping tools, post-its, pillows for napping, and snacks! You don't want to forget snacks.
Do you have any age restrictions?
Nope. But if you’re under 18, make sure you attend the event with a parent or guardian.
