However, with this boom in technology, we have run into shortages in every sector of space turning the dark abys into a warzone, fighting constantly for any and every part to survive. In this western style, dog eat dog, world of space cowboys, you need to repair your star ship by flying around and looting your enemies for their precious modules to survive.
