Jam Site Description:

NEEDED! ARTISTS, ANIMATORS, CODERS, TESTERS, ANYONE!

The Animation and Game Design Club invites you to join the first ever Global Game Jam site held at Kent State University’s Regional Campus of Tuscarawas. Global Game Jam is a worldwide, annual event that takes place over the course of one weekend. Participants,  “Jammers,” will form teams and will be given a prompt. Jammers will use this prompt for designing and building their own game: 2D, 3D, digital, tabletop, even all of the above!

The entry fee is $20 and can be paid at the site’s EventBrite Page.

Global Game Jam is open to anyone regardless of skill level and is a good way to build a creative community. Jammers, from amateur to industry level, come together at each site location to create new exciting games and then showcase them to the world. The Global Game Jam will be held January 25-27th, 2019 at Kent State’s Regional Tuscarawas Campus Engineering Technology building.

Register, and come join in the fun of making games with students as well as upcoming developers! This event will encourage jammers to challenge themselves and help drive their creativity to reach new limits. The Tuscarawas Global Game Jam site will be a great place to learn, design, and network with individuals who are passionate about digital media, software development, and visual design.
