FAQs and TIPs
I'M A NUB!
Everyone is welcome. From all skill levels, age, etc. If you are uncertain, feel free to contact the organizers (us)!
However, Global Game Jam does have an age-requirement of being at least 18-years old to participate.

I CAN ONLY COME ON SATURDAY
It will be tricky but there will be teams still forming on Saturday. We will organize a second formation session on Saturday at 9am for latecomers.
CAN I COME WITH A TEAM?
It is best to not come to the Jam with a team. Ideally everyone forms teams on Friday, and get the chance to work with a new collaborator or few! You will have some time to think and pitch an idea. Make new friends or jam with peers you admire. If you insist on coming with a team, we have House Rules and a Random Game Generator to add some challenge to the Jam.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
We are allocating spaces to sleep but participants are encouraged to bring their own sleeping bags and also warm clothes (sweaters, jackets) as the air-conditioners can be cold.
There will be rooms for both male and female participants.
FOOD
Lunch on Sunday is provided but every other meal is to be borne by the participant, we have a lot of eateries just next to the campus and also a 24-hour 7-Eleven on campus. We have a Texas Chicken, Subway, Halia (Local Food), Oiso (Korean), Vibes, a food-court and more! We will also have some light snacks at the jam site.
SHOWERS
We do not have purpose built showers but the bathrooms are really clean and we usually provide buckets, pails and the means to shower with hot water.
LEAVING THE SITE
Our local policy is that you can leave at any time, you can even go home and rest before heading back to continue your work but we advise you to inform your team about your commitment to the Jam and how much time can you realistically spend. The point of the GGJ is to collaborate.
PARKING
Parking at the Utropolis (next to KDU UC) is charged but we recommend parking there. Parking on KDU grounds is usually capped at RM4.50/day.
