Going with the theme of “What home means to you’, we decided on making a game that could be played by anyone and everyone remembered home. The story revolves a nameless character that had to leave his/her hometown to go work on a big city. His/her room will be the main hub and “progress bar” for our game. It will start as a gray space with nothing more than a bed and a desk, all grayed out. To make it feel like home, you will start to gather special objects and adding them to your room, adding color to the place. When you finish the game, your room will be fully colored with all the objects you gathered.
But because everyone is different and different things of this world means home, we decided to put a variety of objects in the game and the player will decide which to bring home. This way, each player will have a different room at the end of the game.
