The Armour of God

This game is a biblical virtual reality game based on Ephesians 6:10–17. In the game the player collects 6 items of the armour of God (belt, breastplate, footware, shield, helmet, and sword) led by a human character. You may follow the human character to know what item and where to pick up and where to drop off the item. The human character also explains about meanings of some of items of the armour of God.
Jam year:
MS Windows
Tools and Technologies:
Unity (any product), Virtual reality head mount display (Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, etc.)
Technology Notes:
I used HTC Vive during the development. This game should work with many other VR HMDs that have controller(s) thanks to VRTK (VR ToolKit). Without any VR device, this game should still run and the player may use limited features (e.g., navigation) by using of keyboard and mouse.

Four artists/designers and two musicians helped me during the game jam.

  • Eric Kim, Jerri Kim: created & provided a mb file of a ring with engraved words.
  • Nour Hajar: created & provided a md file of a ring with 3D words around it, gave me information and demonstration on how to manipulate the mb file so that I might create 5 other rings.
  • Victor Limsila: gave me information on how to make a ring object radiating.

  • Patrik Jarlestam & Mr Gill: 3 wav files for 'grab' sounds (they were not applied to the game yet but soon will be)
