This is organized by the same people that have organized it in South Bend the last 5 years.
The Global Game Jam hopes to bring together talented and creative individuals from within the community. It is a unique opportunity for people to push their skills and challenge their way of working. Participants work concurrently with game developers around the globe; we rally around a central theme, and then have 48 hours to create a game.

FAQ:
* Is there an age requirement or limit?
The Global Game Jam is open to anyone young, old, or in between! The only restriction is that we ask for a parent to accompany anyone under the age of 18.
* Is it just about video games?
No. You can create whatever type of game you would like; video game, card game, dice game, etc.
* Will I have the skills to contribute?
Yes. If you are interested in games, you can contribute. The weekend is to have fun, make a game, and perhaps learn some new skills.
* Do I need to bring a computer?
If you want to make a video game, it helps to have a computer. However, last year we had people contribute art to the games by drawing them by hand. The drawings were then scanned and incorporated into the game by somebody with a computer. So, the only limit to how you might contribute is your imagination.
* What platform will be used for video games?
That's entirely up to you as a participant! You can use anything from more sophisticated languages targeting Windows or Mac, or you might opt to use some of the simpler environments like Scratch or Kodu.
* Where should I park?
Surface parking is free and available right outside the building.
* What if I get hungry?
We will be providing beverages and some food. There are also several restaurants and coffee shops located closely in the surrounding downtown area.
* What is the refund policy?
All purchases are refundable up to 30 days ahead of the event.
