Pix NES is an NES version of Pix! ....................................................................
The first version of Pix was originally made for an itch.io lorez game jam. I tried to make it as 8-bit as possible, but alas - I caved in to temptation and used technology from the future, like smooth screen scrolling, and camera zoom in/out. I felt so guilty about this unforgivable transgression that I upgraded the game with lots of other new features and then launched it on Steam. Check it out: http://store.steampowered.com/app/601200/Pix/
................................But then... at Global Game Jam 2018, I had a chance of redemption! Thanks to the generosity of Joe Granato, I was able to make an actual 8-bit version, that you can't even play here because it only works on Nintendo! No, not Switch, not SNES, not Gameboy. We're talking NES. The original. On a cartridge. A cartridge you might even have to blow on for it to work. No joke!
................................How was this possible? Because Joe Granato and his merry band of retro-renegades built NESmaker! I backed his handy-dandy new Kickstarter (ends Feb 12, 2018), and because he's such a nice guy, I was allowed to use an early in-development build to make Pix NES!................................
