In the year 22XX, humanity's technological advances have allowed them to connect with the universe that surrounds them, and make big leaps to better their own lives, and the ones around them, one such leap was the ability to project their own consciousness into a cyberspace, all through microchips implanted into everyone's brains.
You are a sly detective who has picked up that someone in the near future will be murdered, there's just one catch. You only have 5 minutes.
You jack into cyberspace, and transmit yourself into The Wire, your job is to hack into everyone's personal avatars, transmitting yourself into their desktops for 10 seconds.
Find clues, discover who the murderer is.
Time is short, and a life is on the wire.
In this game you take control of detective John Doe, you're inside of The Wire, a cybernetic construct where people's avatar selves roam, cybernetic projections of their actual selves.
You can move around The Wire using:
[A] - Move left
[D] - Move right
You'll be finding doors along the way that take you into virtual apartments rented by people on The Wire, inside you will find avatars to hack to find information.
[E] - Enter/Exit apartments, hack avatars
[Mouse1] - Click into apps in virtual desktop
You'll be given clues at the start to find your culprit, they can be access via a dock on the top right.
[Mouse1] - Open/Close hints dock
Gather as much information as you can to find the culprit, check their emails, recorded calls, transactions. Everything that is transmitted over The Wire. Once you're sure who the culprit is, go up to their avatar, and press:
[R] - Accuse avatar
Once you've made your accusation, you'll either be correct or not, if you are correct, you'll win, and save a life, otherwise, a life will be taken, and you will have lost the game.
