A VR co-op game where one player is in VR and another player plays from the screen. The VR player stands atop a series of tall towers overlooking a town square patrolled by menacing-yet-adorable robots. The other player, who uses a gamepad and plays from the PC screen, hides from the robots and searches buildings for the four keys to beat the game. The player loses if they get caught by a robot. DEVELOPER NOTE: This build is proof of concept. The VR player can travel between towers and "communicate" with the other player. The other player can run and jump and get menaced by robots. The win and lose conditions have not been implemented yet, as the four collectables are not in this build and the robots do not end the game when they capture the second player. Still, it's a fun time for both players even in its basic state. I hope you enjoy it!
NARRATIVE - Babe, It Just Ain't Your Story
Tools and Technologies:
Unity (any product), Virtual reality head mount display (Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, etc.)
Developed using the SteamVR SDK and tested with a Microsoft Mixed Reality headset. Should be compatable with HTC Vive and any Mixed Reality HMD via SteamVR. NOTE: Source files do not include 3rd party libraries which I do not have the license to distribute. If you would like to download and build this project yourself, you will need the following assets from the Unity Asset Store: Rewired, Polarith AI, 3rdPerson+Fly. Place them in "Assets/Libraries/".
