Rune Shift

Rune Shift is a Turn Based Strategy game for 2 to 4 players. You play on a map consisting of hexagonal tiles. Each turn you have to place three runes. Which type is chosen randomly. If possible you have to place runes next to each other. If you are able to have a rune with six neighbors, you can upgrade it to get bonus runes each turn. You can upgrade a rune a second time. If you do this, you loose your bonus runes but you get extra points. In case of determining the neighbors: a small rune counts as one neighbor, a medium rune (one times upgraded) counts as two and a large rune (two times upgraded) counts as three. If you can place three runes of one type and if at least one of your runes is a neighbor of a small rune (not upgraded) of an opponent, you can take over the rune. Scoring: Your points are calculated the following way: Number of runes placed next to a white or black field (whichever is smaller) + Number of Small Runes + Number of Medium Runes + (Number of Large Runes * 3) + (Number of Runes in the Row with most own Runes * 3). This result is multiplied by the number of Large Runes + 1. The player with the highest score wins.
