We are proud to anounce that we'll be hosting the Global Game Jam 2015 in our school in Aix-en-Provence !
FAQ
When is Global Game Jam held ?
Our school will be opened from January the 23th at 4pm to January the 25th 7pm even at night.
Participants may come and go as they please during the event, but don't forget that your team needs you ! So be sure to be on the same page.
I can't register, why is that ?
We have limited space available, so we can only welcome 50 partcipants. Registrations will be closed until December the 19th for anyone but Y-nov Aix-en-Provence's students. After that if there are still slots available, this event will be open to anyone who wishes to come.
Working for 48 hours straight, how will I survive without any food or drinks ?!
We'll have food and drinks purchasable at a reasonable price on site during the whole event. Participants may also bring their own.
Age restriction
The site will not have on-site security. All participants must be 18 years or older.
Do you provide any tools or technology ?
No, the only thing we provide is electricity and an Internet Connection. So don't forget to bring your laptop or anything you deem necessary to create an awesome game !
I'd love to participate, but I've never made a game before...
Awesome ! It's a great opportunity for you to take a stab at it. There are many skills needed to create a game, and Game Jam is the place to practice one of them. Be it programming, creating assets (art, sound...), designing, or writing, I'm sure you'll find one that suits you !
What kind of game can we make ?
Any kind really ! A theme will be announced on January the 23th at 5pm, the only limit is your imagination !
