The EPSRC Doctoral Training Centre on Intelligent Games and Game Intelligence (IGGI) is a collaboration between three universities, York (lead), Essex and Goldsmiths College London. The project kicked off with the first intake of 12 PhD students in September 2014. Part of the training that students go through is an annual game jam. Global Game Jam appears to be the perfect match for this. The idea is to bring together the entire cohort of students in one place (this year at Essex) to work on developing games as part of the game jam. Contact person for this event will be Udo Kruschwitz as IGGI Training Coordinator at Essex.
