FAQ:
When does the event begin?
Registration begins at 4pm in the lobby. Please do not arrive later than 4:45. You don’t want to miss the keynote speakers, theme release etc.
Can I bring my own team?
You can choose who you work with but please remember you must be open to allowing more people to work with you. Plus you may be friends with these people but they may not have the same work ethic as you do.
Do you prefer if we make a digital game?
Absolutely! Most jammers create digital games. I would save the board games to group that cannot develop any pieces to a digital game. Juniors and Seniors should really challenge themselves and do it. You will need it for your portfolio, ask your fellow alumni.
Do we have to sleep here?
No. Once you have arranged your team, you can work out a schedule that allows half of your team to go home and then come back and switch. We encourage you to at least go home sleep a little and then shower before coming back.
Do we have to come with a game in mind?
No we will have a brainstorming session to be able to come up with ideas.
What if I can’t stay the whole time?
If you already know that you will only be here for a short period of time, notify staff or faculty member on duty and we will make you a floater and not assigned to a direct team. It isn’t fair to have you on a team when you will not be present long enough to contribute.
What is the theme?
You will find out the theme on Friday night. It is kept a secret until then. You must incorporate this theme in your game and how you interpret it.
When does this event end?
Sunday around 6pm
What about food?
Luckily we have some sponsors donate snacks, drinks, and some items for food. I do suggest bringing additional food to make it through the three days.
