The Plot Demands

The final experiment in a series of questions about the ability of a narrative to bind, bound and channel plots with multiple possible paths through chokepoints. This is a text-based game in which the path the story takes is influenced both by random and player-chosen events. Inspired (and driven) by the idea of narrative causality that I was introduced to in Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels.

All work on this was done by Mithun Balraj using Twine.

Thanks to Joel Johnson, Arundhati Sriraman and Rishikanth Somayaji for helping me get my thoughts in order and being part of the strange conversations that led to the making of this game.
