Super SlugCat Saga

Each person is made up of many personalities and it is the culmination of these personalities that make a person. But only you know the whole of yourself. Other's can only perceive a single aspect of who you are. Join Slugcat and its different personalities as it journeys through this backwards platformer trying to find a way out through a box. What we tried to accomplish was to get the player to use all their abilities and then slowly take away one ability each time the player goes through the box(end point). Then the player respawns at the start of the same level and go through the obstacles in a different way. For this particular game we gave the player 3 abilities 1. Double jump 2. Climb 3. Basic Movement. 1 and 2 are the abilities that are taken away from the player (for scope purposes only Double jump was taken away) and basic movement is the only ability left to the player (left right jump). We found building in this way a unique challenge to level design. We went against the normal formula of left to right for the level and the player gains abilities as they progress. We started on the left side progressed to the right and then went up and to the left so you ended on the same side you started. So these are our thoughts and we hope we clearly conveyed those thought in this game. Hope you enjoy.
