Have you ever lost five years of work to a 'disappearing file', of which you never quite got around to making a backup? In this near-future scenario, all the world's files are stored on a single, massive cloud storage system. Capacity is increased as required, but never quite at the rate it's needed. To hide this potentially fatal flaw, skilled computer operators are employed 24/7 to delete unneeded files and create space on the system. Some urban legends suggest that 'skilled computer operators' are merely trained cats and dogs placed in front of a large 'delete' button in front of a wall of scrolling files. Others suggest that files are deleted purely at random. In Press Delete, you are one of those operators. Are you a careful, professional human? A bored cat? Or just a two-line shell-script?
