"We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are."
At this years Global Game Jam, our team set out to create a game based on our interpretation of this theme. We wanted the player participate in a Murder mystery that would shed light on what happened at a Cabin near a Lighthouse.
The Lighthouse is a "point and click" mystery game where you search for clues to unravel the story of: who died, who was the murderer, and what was their motive? The ominous Lighthouse illuminates the world at certain intervals and even acts as a game mechanic- revealing objects hidden from view in nooks and crannies. Use your detective work, help from the environment, and information seeking nature to fully understand the world- not "as they are," but rather- "….as we are."
The Lighthouse was made with a Team of 4 fun and friendly folks who love to make games in 48 hours!
