The concept for this game was for it to be a casual open-world exploration game, where your character is equipped with a camera. The gameplay would consist of wandering around and taking pictures of whatever interests you. The player, however, is initially unaware that the world they're exploring is the world from the perspective of the main character. At the end of the game, when the photographs are developed, they show not the character's perspective, but the world as it actually is. The narrative of the world would be told through the environment, which would be revealed in snippets from the photos you take. == For the Game Jam, we made a simple prototype that samples the mechanic. It's a single room where certain clues must be found to figure out the combination to open the door in the map. The clues exist in 'reality', rather than the character's perspective, so only by taking pictures of the environment can you gradually unveil the clues in the developed photographs.
