I haven't previously participated in the GGJ. I have other existing plans on Friday, so won't be able to show up until Saturday. I suspect this is cool?

Thank you all for asking questions about the GGJ 2013. Please feel free to post more comments with questions, or you can email your questions to me via (peterhATaie.edu.au).
knivel: At the 2012 GGJ, the site wasn't open on Sunday and we didn't get to show off our games to each other. Is that going to be the case again in 2013? This year we will be open on Sunday, however we will not be open during the full 48 hour timeline. Our projected hours of operation are: Friday 1/25/13 5pm - 12am, Saturday 1/26/13 8am - 12am, and Sunday 1/27/13 8am - 5pm. We are unable to stay open for the continuous 48 hours due to not having sleeping and shower facilities on-site. We apologize for this inconvenience.
SquidSquad: What does it mean no space available? Is it fully booked? We do not have an auditorium, so the option shows there is no space available. We do have space available and are looking forward to accommodating most of our Jammers needs.
mnicolella: I haven't previously participated in the GGJ. I have other existing plans on Friday, so won't be able to show up until Saturday. I suspect this is cool? We encourage all participants to arrive at least 30 minutes early (around 4:30pm), however, you may show up on Saturday as well.
I've read the about page and the FAQ, but I still, like Ezio at the end of Assassin's Creed 2, "have so many questions!"
I'd like to show up to see what this is all about even though I live across the water so it won't be easy getting there which makes it sad that we can't stay overnight. I'm an Actionscripter and I didn't see Flash listed among the available tools or technology. Are people not gonna be making Flash games? I've participated in a couple of Newgrounds game jams but that was totally different because people just jammed from home. If I wanna make a Flash game, do I have to bring my own computer? That won't be feasible since I was planning on walking from the ferry. And again, since we're not allowed to stay overnight it would be a major hassle to set up my computer multiple times across multiple days. I was gonna bring my laptop but it's a netbook and it isn't recommended that I run something as large as Flash on it. But all that is moot if no one else has Flash and I'm supposed to jam with them. Although... we could just use pixel graphics instead of the native Flash vector graphics. So what languages are the other programmers planning on programming with?
Also, would it be okay to show up on just Friday and Saturday? I have plans for Sunday already.

4:30 on friday?
4:30 on friday? I see you have your hours posted, but is there a schedule for the game jam posted somewhere?

Soooon!
Really looking forward to tomorrow and creating some awesome games! YEAH!
Hope to meet a lot of new cool people. My last three GameJams where in Germany, I'm sure this one will be at least as awesome. :)
I'm guessing there will be a Idea generation and team-finding phase, maybe even a guided one?
See you soon!
I don't get it
