Reons
GROUPS SHALL NOT BE TOLERATED
Reons is a reflex and strategy game based in an electronic themed environment.
You are the Creator. Reons are Your creatures. They were designed for solitary life, as You are in front of your computer. Until they became gregarious and reproductive. Their grouping is an insult to Your Solitude. You must disband them.
THEY ARE TOGETHER. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Reons was developed under the Global Game Jam 2009 rules:
"As long as we have each other we will never run out of problems"
Paris timezone adjectives to be implemented:
- developing
- falsifying
- trapped
The theme and adjective were implemented from the Reons point of view instead of the user point of view. As long as Reons have each other they can reproduce, heal, but will be subject to the user's wrath, seen as a godly figure who has decided that Reons must live alone, as he is.
The applied adjective is developing, as Reons develop as long as they are together.
Additionally trapping and isolating a Reon is a weapon usable by the user.

Test on other plateforms...
A mate has tested Reons on others systems:
- Gentoo 32bit with Nvidia GPU : works after a re-compilation of the sources ( binary release broken)
- Freebsd 32bit with Nvidia GPU : works after a re-compilation of the sources
In both cases, you have to hack a little bit the Makefile, which is definitely broken for anything but the original test system. I'll post a patched version as soon as possible.
If you have a 32bit *nix system with Nvidia or Ati drivers and the above libraries installed, you can probably get Reons to run. If you're stuck with the compilation, feel free to drop me an email (see the contact team email)
*EDIT* tested with an Intel GPU : strange display errors, game unplayable... And big issues on x86_64... I'm having a look.
