Monolith

Monolith is a board video/game: a game about resource scarcity and the struggle to survive of two to six civilizations that you will play around a table with the other players, aided by the ios/android augmented reality app and the interactive arduino-based tabletop board, with 3d-printed hexagonal tiles. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Play defensively in the surrounding of your base, storm remote resource points for a quick bounty, or rush for the central tower: destroy it to unleash the power of the MONOLITH. **UPDATE** We are planning a Kickstarter campaign, interested? Technology Notes: 
The game is primarily developed with Unity, while the board uses Arduino to sense the tiles. The players also use their smartphone to play, and can do some special actions through an augmented reality interface. Part of the game runs on a server app connected with the Arduino gameboard. The sensing is one through a matrix of tinfoil strips, and a bunch of mux/demux. We also use the same mux to power a led in the tile being read, creating a random blink effect. The tiles, the monolith and a special D3 dice are all custom 3d-printed.
