Interesting idea
I like the idea that both of you can lose and there can be no winner, or in essence the game is the winner.
Player vs. System
This kind of games is usually called Player vs. System. First time I played on of these was with the board game The Lord of the Rings by Reiner Knizia. All players control a game piece, and must finish the board until the end, but there is another piece controlled by the game rules, which is Sauron. When he reaches the end of his own board, all players lose. The objective is that everyone must collaborate to win.
