Fixed?
Looks like someone fixed the package. Happy day.
Submission crashing
Our package apparently crashes on some computers - probably because I didn't do a release properly? Of course it runs fine on the boxes that we coded it on. I can count the amount of times I've used Visual Studio on one hand so I probably didn't package up the release properly.
We are trying to figure it out when we have time.
Final - 3pm Sunday
The team worked hard through last night to get a playable game for the final submission and presentation. The end result is... cute! The Sparkles quicly populate and keep on coming. It's hard to get them all before the timer runs out. While hardly finished or polished, we think the game shows potential. Hope you enjoy playing it!
Progress - 1pm Sat
We have a prototype running. It's pretty basic - cute character, no animation, moving around the screen, first pass mechanic up.
Sean has just joined the team. We have more Laptops now, Logo soon :-)
Progress - 9pm
I wasn't planning on being on a team, just he to help, but in the warm-up I had an idea and a handful of Jammers liked it. So I have sent the last few hours developing that idea with them.
The artists right now are trying to create the cutest cutesy character they can. Must have big eyes. Over sized ribbon. You get the idea.
We have scoped the core design to one mechanic, one character and one environment. Trying to get the done in the next 24 hours.
The engineers are struggling - they don't have a common code language. They ended up on XNA. Mark Knight just helped them figure out a task list...
And we just named the characters... They'll be The Sprinkles. And they won't survive the game :-)
